+William Candelaria is a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he specializes in private equity and capital markets. In 2005, Mayor Michael Bloomberg appointed Bill to serve on the Board of Directors of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he currently serves as Chair of the Governance Committee as well as Board and Executive Committee member. He also has served on the Board of the Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund. Bill received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as Supervising Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and earned his A.B. in International Relations and A.M. in Latin American Studies from Stanford University.
+Jimmy Finn is an attorney in private practice in Manhattan. From 2006 until 2009, Jimmy practiced at the firms of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. and McDermott Will & Emery LLP. A native of Staten Island, Jimmy graduated with a B.A. in History from William & Mary in 2000. Jimmy received his J.D. and a Master Degree in Urban Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. Along with Paul Kelterborn, Jimmy founded the Hudson River Powerhouse Group in August 2007.
+Robert Hammond is President and Executive Director of Friends of the High Line. Along with co-founder Josh David, Robert helped to take the High Line, a 1.5 mile disused rail structure on Manhattan’s West Side, from the brink of demolition in 1999 to the opening of the first section (Gansevoort St. - 20thSt.) as a public park in June 2009. Before founding Friends of the High Line, Robert helped start several small businesses and then served as a consultant to small businesses and non-profits, including the Times Square Alliance and the Body Health Resources (the Internet’s largest HIV/AIDS information resource). Robert is also a self-taught artist with works in individual and corporate collections.
In 2008, Robert was named one of Crain’s "Forty Under 40." Robert was awarded a 2010 Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome, and will be living in Rome from November 2009 to July 2010. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, has a BA in history from Princeton University, and has lived in the far West Village since 1994.
+Rhian Horgan is a Managing Director of the JP Morgan Private Bank in New York City. A native of Denver, Colorado, Rhian graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1999 with a BBA, majoring in finance and public policy. Rhian is a member of the Stanley Issacs Center board of directors, the board of directors for Swem Library and is the founder of the William and Mary Wall Street Program.
+Paul Kelterborn is a planning associate at the Municipal Art Society of New York. His prior experience includes working in real estate development and in marketing for architecture and urban design firms. Originally from Michigan, he graduated with a B.A. in sociology from Oberlin College and received a Master’s of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. While at Penn, Paul served as co-editor of Panorama: the Journal of the Department of City and Regional Planning. Along with Jimmy Finn, Paul founded the Hudson River Powerhouse Group in August 2007.
+Richard Lambertson is the Vice President and design director of accessories for Tiffany & Co. Richard began his career at Saks Fifth Avenue before going to the fashion office at Bergdorf Goodman. He then joined Geoffrey Beene and went on to become the design director of the Gucci Group in Milan. Richard later returned to Bergdorf Goodman as the Senior Vice President and creative director. In 1998, with his partner John Truex, he launched an accessories company, Lambertson Truex. Richard is a co-owner of Privet House with two locations in Warren and Greenwich, Connecticut. He is on the board of directors of the Geoffrey Beene Foundation and the Council of Fashion Designers of America for which he also serves as treasurer.
+Paul Leong is a Vice President in the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory group of Blackstone focused on real estate. Before joining Blackstone in 2007, Paul worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Deutsche Bank in New York. Paul received his MBA with honors from Columbia Business School in 2005. He graduated from Columbia University with honors in 2000, earning both a B. S. in Engineering Management Systems and a B. A. in Economics. Paul is also a member of the MoMA Jr. Associates.
+Matt Tyrnauer is a writer and filmmaker. A native of Los Angeles, Matt graduated from Wesleyan University. His award-winning film Valentino The Last Emperor was released in 2009. He is Special Correspondent for Vanity Fair magazine.
+Kate Wood is the Executive Director of Landmark West! where she led one of the organization's major advocacy projects: the campaign to save Edward Durell Stone’s 2 Columbus Circle. Kate served as the co-chair of the Save the Coogan! Coalition in the Midtown South area of Manhattan, receiving the Grassroots Preservation Award from the Historic Districts Council in recognition for this work. Kate earned a Master’s in Historic Preservation and Urban Planning at Columbia University; she returned to Columbia in the Spring of 2009 to teach the Preservation Planning studio focused on the IRT Powerhouse. Kate is a founding member of the Citizens Emergency Committee to Preserve Preservation and serves on the Board of Advisors of the Historic Districts Council.
